Sometimes it is a little difficult to explain what an urban trek is all about because it is a unique way to see San Francisco - different from other San Francisco tours. An urban trek is not just a sightseeing tour where a bus or shuttle or van basically whisk visitors from one place to another without FEELING the vibe of each neighborhood. An urban trek is not like the normal walking tour where you spend a lot of time in one or two neighborhoods and hear the stuff that all the other tours and tour books already mention. An urban trek is basically a walking tour that combines taking public transportation when the destination is far so visitors can cover a bunch of neighborhoods; and really EXPERIENCE and FEEL the vibe of each neighborhood while learning about their history and what currently is happening in each neighborhood.

I am always grateful when urban trekkers provide feedback of their experience. Knowing that my urban trek has made someone's San Francisco visit a memorable one truly makes my "work" fulfilling. What I do does not feel like "work" but more like showing my friends San Francisco.
