Things to do in San Francisco - Italian Heritage Festival in San Francisco (2018) #TuesdayTips #UrbanTrekUSATips

The month of October, specifically the first weekend, could be the best time to be in San Francisco because the weather is normally warmer, the city is not as crowded (like in the summer months) and there are three major events like Fleet Week, Italian Heritage Festival and the free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in Golden Gate Park. These events are some of the good things to do in San Francisco every October.

Yesterday, I posted about Saturday's Fleet Week Air Show. I am now posting about the Italian Heritage Festival and parade in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, which is held on the first Sunday in October. The parade is my favorite because of all the marching bands, colorful costumes and outfits, the nice floats, the men and women in uniform (since it's Fleet Week), it's diversity even though the festival celebrates Italian heritage, and the all around festive street party.

If you are in San Francisco the first Sunday in October, make sure you come and join the festivities.
